He claimed that 6,018 votes were targeted for deletion in Karnataka’s Aland constituency using centralized software and phones outside the State. Similarly, 6,850 applications were filed online for voter additions in Maharashtra’s Rajura constituency. “Same vote theft factory,” he alleged.

A Delhi court on Thursday (September 18, 2025) stayed an ex parte injunction that had barred journalists and media outlets from publishing or circulating “unverified, unsubstantiated and ex facie defamatory” reports about Gautam Adani’s Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL). District Judge Ashish Aggarwal of the Rohini court granted the interim relief while hearing an appeal by journalists Ravi Nair, Abir Dasgupta, Ayaskant Das, and Ayush Joshi against the September 6 order of Special Civil Judge Anuj Kumar Singh.

The Bombay High Court on Thursday (September 18, 2025) issued notices to seven persons acquitted in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, following an appeal by families of the victims killed in the explosion. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhad also issued notices to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Maharashtra government, directing that they be served within two weeks. The matter will be heard again after six weeks.

Hours after Pakistan signed a mutual defence pact with Saudi Arabia, India said it was aware of the development and reaffirmed its commitment to “comprehensive national security.” The response followed a joint statement issued during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Riyadh, in which Saudi Arabia and Pakistan declared that “any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both.”

Baseless’: Vantara says SC-appointed SIT clears it of water misuse, carbon credit charges

The Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) has concluded that allegations of water resource misuse and irregularities in carbon credits against Vantara are “entirely baseless,” the zoological rescue and rehabilitation centre said in a statement. A Bench of Justices Pankaj Mithal and P.B. Varale on Monday (September 15, 2025) accepted the SIT’s report, which found no legal violations in Vantara’s operations in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
