Team India vice-captain Shubman Gill suffered an injury scare just before the much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 clash against Pakistan. Gill had recently returned to T20I action in India’s opening match against UAE, where he opened the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma.
India and Pakistan are set to face each other for the second time in 2025 in the Asia Cup. Their last meeting was in the Champions Trophy league stage, where India defeated Pakistan. This time, big names like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are missing from India’s T20I squad, which takes away some star power from the contest. Ahead of the high-voltage clash, India suffered a setback as vice-captain Shubman Gill picked up a hand injury.
