Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ post after India’s thrilling victory in the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan in Dubai.
PM Modi had taken to X (formerly Twitter) after the win, writing: “#OperationSindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same – India wins!”

Reacting to this, Suryakumar Yadav said,
“It feels good when the country’s leader himself bats on the front foot. It felt like he took the strike and scored runs for us. When sir is standing in front, the players automatically feel motivated and play freely.”
He also added, “The most important thing is that the whole country is celebrating. When we return home, it will feel special and give us even more inspiration to do well in future matches.”
India’s Big Win Against Pakistan
In the Asia Cup 2025 final, India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets, chasing down 147 runs. India finished at 150/5, while Pakistan was bowled out for 146.
This victory also marked India’s 9th Asia Cup title (across ODIs and T20Is) and their 9th straight T20I chase win against Pakistan.
Controversies Around the Final
The tournament had its share of controversies. The Asia Cup was the first meeting between India and Pakistan since the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s Operation Sindoor.
Notably, Indian players did not shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts after the matches, as a show of solidarity with the victims of the terror attack and the Indian armed forces.
Despite tensions, India dominated the tournament—defeating Pakistan in the group stage, Super 4s, and finally in the championship match.
