Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao emphasized that it is the government’s duty to safeguard farmers’ land and livelihoods, and urged a reconsideration of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) alignment to ensure they are not adversely affected.

He assured the farmers of Puttapaka village in Choutuppal mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, that he would bring their concerns—arising from the change in the Regional Ring Road (RRR) alignment—to the attention of the state government.

The farmers, many of whom are small and marginal landholders, voiced their distress over the current RRR alignment, stating that it imposes a heavy financial burden and puts their livelihoods at risk. Mr. Rao assured them that he would bring the issue to the attention of the relevant authorities to seek a solution. The farmers met the Telangana BJP President at his office in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 21, 2025, to apprise him of their concerns.

The farmers explained that they are incurring significant losses due to the revised alignment of the southern section of the RRR, which now cuts through their agricultural land. They urged the government to scrap the current plan and conduct a fresh survey, pointing out that the road could instead be routed through nearby hill land, which is unsuitable for cultivation, thereby preserving their valuable farmland.

Extends Congratulations to ABVP

Mr. Rao congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on its resounding victory in the student union elections at Hyderabad Central University (HCU). “This victory reaffirms that ABVP truly represents the genuine aspirations of students. The overwhelming support reflects the students’ belief in the ABVP’s core principle — that the nation comes first, above caste and religion,” he said.

Mr. Rao recalled how opposition parties had previously spread falsehoods and malicious propaganda against the ABVP and BJP, using the Rohit Vemula incident to their advantage. “They attempted to divide students along caste and religious lines,” he said. “Ultimately, the students saw through it. This victory is a strong rebuttal to the divisive agendas of leftist and separatist forces,” the state BJP chief asserted in a press release.
